I had a lovely stay with a superb breakfast that included fresh berries and amazing porridge. The warm atmosphere was good, and the three-course festive menu was delicious and beautifully presented.

Just a reliable pick for a short interlude in Dalkeith with great value for money. The gnocchi I had was amazing, with perfect textures and a delicious cheese sauce. Bring a fan if you stay in a warmer room.

I found this place when searching for a weekend getaway, and the staff was so friendly and helpful that they even allowed us to store our luggage while we explored the area, making my stay that much easier and enjoyable.

The Junior Suite with Terrace was spacious and well-appointed, with a lovely patio. The breakfast was particularly enjoyable, and the friendly staff provided attentive service. The hotel lacks amenities, and its location on a busy road detracts from the overall experience. While the dinner was nice, the hotel seems to be struggling with its past reputation as a top gastropub.

The new lounge area is super bright and comfy. Enjoyed a flat white that hit the spot! Food was really good for lunch too, good quality at a fair price. Only downside was a bit of noise from the hall, but it wasn't too bad considering the atmosphere.

We enjoyed our night in a beautifully decorated room. The staff offered a warm welcome. Tip, Request a room away from the road to minimize noise. Breakfast could use a bit of improvement, but the ambience made it worthwhile!
